As mentioned at the beginning of this section, TV and film dialogue is dramatized. To create a conflict and a reversal, the writer would use the type of dialogue from his notes – what the friend actually wants to say – to dramatize the scene! Got it?

Development

This stage mainly consists of planning and conceptualising a script 18, based off a book, another movie, a true story, or can even be an original concept. After approval, the director works with the writers to come up with a step-by-step outline of the progression of the film. Go back to the café, diner or coffee shop. Well, you might want to pick a new place or the folks there could be tempted to call the cops. For this exercise, you’ll be learning to do two important things to help develop an ear for dialogue:

Pre-Production

In this phase, the key objective is to narrow down options and plan the development of the movie in terms of 18 film cast, film crew, and budget. A line manager or production manager is usually hired during this process to create a schedule and manage the budget for the film. Pre-production also includes figuring out the shoot location. I’ve taught the writer how to listen for what’s not being said, how to listen for what is being said and how to identify gestures that speaks volumes beyond the spoken conversation. The production stage is when the actual practical 18 film production work begins. The primary aim is to stick to the budget and schedule, which requires constant attentiveness. Photography

18 Photography is essentially the most expensive phase in film production. This is because of the salaries owed to the actor, director and set crew, as well as the costs of certain shots, props and special effects, if needed. All the previous stages have been set to ensure the smooth transition of photography. This is where the camera rolls, so it is important for the film director to follow the schedule and remain within the budget. Genre: Romance. The act two climax here is an entire, excruciating action/suspense/horror sequence: Lecter’s escape from the Tennessee prison, the most referenced sequence of the movie. It’s a stunning TWIST in the action. But it’s worth noting that the heroine is completely absent from this climax. The effect on her is profound, though; she was counting on Lecter to help her catch Buffalo Bill. Now that is not going to happen (the Central Question of the story is thus answered: No.). It’s a complete REVERSAL and huge DEFEAT (all is lost). Clarice is going to have to rise from the ashes of that defeat to find Bill on her own and save Catherine.

Wrap – 18

The period immediately after the shooting ends, when all the cameras are turned off. During this stage of 18, everything gets disassembled and the set is cleared of the cast and crew. All equipment and props must be returned in a functioning order, to the suppliers and there must be an inventory list. ACT TWO CLIMAX
